Men's Ministry Meeting Minutes  

* Place : Tallman Park, Sparkill,NY
* Date ,Time : 4/27/2025 ,4:15 pm
* In Attendance : 
Pastor John Mathew, Br. Jacob Jeremiah, Br.Antony, Br.Jain, Br.Praise, Br.Jogy, Br.Anand, Br.Dinakaran, Br.Immanuel, Br.Rozario


- Meeting started with meet and greet, Tea and snack
- Opening prayer by Pastor John Mathew
- all sang 2 worship songs
- being the first meeting of the year, There was a general discussion on mission / activities / expectations of the ministry

- Suggested outreach included Visiting Prison, Homeless Shelter, Nursing Homes, NY Deaf& Dumb School etc

- Everyone agreed on core expectation - to grow more as brothers in Christ, and to impact communities in a positive way.
- Planning - generally do a gathering on the last weekend of each month; one month we can focus on a group discussion, and the next we can do an outreach field activity and repeat.

- We all had group discussion focusing on Discipline and how it connects to being a Disciple of Christ.
- meeting concluded with Prayer by Br.Praise

  Venue : Warner Library, Tarrytown NY Discussion : Kyle Idelman's 'Not a Fan' Episode 1 We met in Warner Library in Tarrytown, NY on a saturday morning. had breakfast and chat. then we saw episode one of Kyle Idleman's 'Not a Fan' series.  this was followed by a group discussion on the difference between being a fan and follower of Christ. - Being a Fan is admiring a personality. being a follower is more than that. it demands how we think and act, as to how our day to day life decisions are determined. -  it is much harder to be a follower of Christ like, because in daily day to day grind, the demands of life gives Christ a place as a fan, not follow him all the moments. - Its a life long process, and spiritual growth, and we need holy spirits help to discern becoming a follower.  - Being a Fan can evoke a feel good moment. but Being a Follower is more than that and we aspire for a Feel right moment. February 7 2026: Forgiveness in Christ

 Feb 7th was one of the coldest day this winter. We met at New city Library for our 1st men's ministry meeting this year. We saw the 2nd episode of "Not a Fan" series by Kyle Idleman. Gods love and forgiveness is far greater than the mistakes we make. so when we fail, running towards God is always a better option than Running away from God.
