The 2024 Mens Ministry kickoff meeting happened on saturday March 9, 2024. We decided to meet in a Mcdonalds on a saturday for breakfast and fellowship. We brainstormed on the following topics. What do we envision are the goals of mens ministry? Enable Spiritual growth of Men Include Family and friends in Activities outdoor activities - Bowling, trail hikes etc Do ministry outside the church such as nursing home visits, volunteering for meals on wheels, provide food for homeless shelter, prison ministry Create a support system for the members Create a safe space for members to discuss personal problems and resolutions Read a spiritual book and discuss We decided to meet once a month, preferably the fist saturday or sunday accomodating our work / family schedules. We wrapped up our meeting with a prayer. Then we walked by the hudson river. it was a cold morning!, yet we are off to a good start!
